Anyone running these on their K8 car? Are they worth extra $$, do they improve anything or they just drain your wallet.

I just dropped a set in my rebuilt KLZE. Figured since I went with Colt Cam regrinds, new HLAs, and will be installing a MSPNP, Coil Pack install/distributor delete, VAF delete (IAT install with the MSPNP), and lightweight flywheel, $50 or so bucks for a new set of plugs won't kill me...

Just started the engine the 1st time after rebuild Sat. Still way too early to know how things will work out together. Plugs are likely not going to make much difference...

Later!
Tim

I got these for my K8:

Figured the engine wont be in it long hopefully my funds align well for my swap later this year. The autozone system says Mazda recommends Copper, so that's the main reason for these.

Pretty sure the car came with Coppers. Waste of money to buy iridium.

I am running the laser iridium's in my ZE (I know not a K8) but I love the heck out of them. I started averaging about 1.8 MPH better highway. I went against the general consensus on them, as I am kind of a rebel..

Are these laser iridiums? If so, how do you gap these, I thought they already come pregapped?

the iridium laser is for OEM application which come pregrapped they have dual precious metal, means iridium on the center tip and platium on the ground electrode.. I have the Iridium IX, which are a single precious metal aftermarket performance plug. They are designed for modified engines. With that being said the IX last to about 50 thous miles ( well should be changed, but dont have to be) the Laser ones last about 100 thous miles.

Yes, pre-gaped. If you touch the contacts at all you can destroy them, do not re gap them.

In my ZE I used the Irridiums for the Probe FS 2.0, the Rx-8 only uses Irridium Lasers, and I decided to give those a try in the Xterra as well.
