Post by MazdaRider »

Does any one have any on their mx3?
If they do are they worth it, for the price
An which ones are the ones that fit?
Thinking about replacing mine
An input would help thanks

I do not have HKS v belts.
If you have a show car or just want to dress up the engine compartment then go ahead and use these. They do look good. These belts are made of superior materials. However, you will not be able to measure any improvement to performance or reliability over the life of your car. The problem is that the standard belts made by Gates, Dayco, and Goodyear (and probably some of the smaller companies too) are already so good they rarely need to be replaced. A good quality name brand belt for our car can be purchased for less than $10 each (sometimes less than $5) and will last at least 10 years.

Alternator / AC: 5 rib 39 - 40"
Alternator alone (no AC): 5 rib 34 - 36"
Water pump and Power Steering pump: 4 rib 36"

Number of ribs and length are always embedded in the part number of the belt. Some belt part numbers will use metric length (mm) so you will have to convert (divide the number of mm by 25.4 to get inches).
