Eibachs + Koni or Tokico

Hey guys, I wanted to get some feedback.
Does this setup look okay?

Eibachs:

Koni:
http://www.tunersdepot.com/Suspension/S ... 21124.html

vs

Tokico:
http://www.tunersdepot.com/Suspension/S ... 18055.html

Those are the just the front pairs but the total cost for front and rear would be $525.9 vs $725.9 (+ ~$250 for springs).
So my question is what would you guys choose? Is it worth the price increase?
I guess its also a good idea for me to ask your opinions on HR vs Eibachs, since they are almost the same price. My friend has eibachs on his vr6 jetta and he is recommending those on brand name alone.

Many on here will tell you "just go with K sports"... I will say go with the Koni's you will not be unhappy. Tokico's are so so IMO and more of a factory strut. The Koni's have a thicker shaft and a shorter one to compensate for lowering springs. Plus they are 4 way adjustable. I had my Konis on full stiff with my Eibachs and I loved it. A bit too stiff for most so I would say only go to 2 or 3 turns for an easier ride.

Thanks for the info. I do like that they are adjustable.
I was worried the K Sport Coilovers would be too expensive, but looking at the total for the eibachs and konis would come out to be about 1k anyways unless I can find them cheaper on another site. So maybe I should.. The thing is I'm not too picky really, I just want some better performance when I'm screwing around on dirt/gravel lots with my buddies. Maybe some rallycross.

Too bad there's no listing for KYB AGX adjustable struts for our cars, at least I didn't find any. They're reasonably priced and have as good a rep as most.

Yeah, my father in-law has them on his Mustang and they are quite nice.

I am working on a Koni Yellow swap for my RS. If I am able to do it with minor modifications I will post it up. They are either too small or too big for our struts housings. I know there are a few older 323 guys who have done the swap. I just have to measure them out and order up the closest ones.

Yes, just go with Koni Sports (yellows). Great price great strut.

They technically don't make yellows for the Mx-3's, just the reds.

I had the reds and really liked them, but was too afraid to adjust them, lol

No yellows, no inserts either? I thought you could buy Yellows for the MX3. Hmm have to recheck.

Thanks for all the input guys. Do you think the reds would be worse than the yellows?

There are no Yellows for the MX3 only Reds. There are Yellows for another Mazda that I am going to try and adapt. They are a larger diameter and therefor will not fit into our strut tubes.

The pro to the yellows is only that they have the adjustments on the top of the strut vs the reds where you have to disassemble them to adjust the dampening.

I am taking the AST's off of my GS this weekend and swapping my Reds from the RS over with the Eibachs I have. I will make sure to take plenty of pictures.

IMO the Reds are amazing and if you have the money and the know how to install them they are worth it. And completely rebuildable.

Cool thanks for the break down, I'll keep an eye out for your progress. Adjusting the yellows on the car sounds damn convenient but if the reds are a direct fit I guess I wouldn't mind too much. Your earlier advice of a couple turns would probably be a good starting point.

There are no more Koni reds available anymore. Here in Moca land, our last, lonely Mx-3 driver has the only set left uninstalled.. Atlantamx3.
