Hey guys,

This 94 Rs i have has a bit of a misfire, seems like it's not running quite right, the previous owners said they just changed the plugs and wires, i just replaced the distributor rotor, the parts store didn't have a cap, so i'll have to wait a few days to try that. In my searching I read that it may be dirty injectors. would the ones off the BP or sohc b6 work? any other thoughts as to what would cause a misfire?

thanks in advance,

Dustin

Things to try/check

Distributor as a whole
(I can't remember if the 94 has a coil pack but if it does try that)
MAF
make sure the plug wires are seated correctly against the disty and plug
Check for an air leak after your MAF
I would also confirm the new plugs..........it could even be a bad gap in the plug.

As always I would start with the cheapest things first.

also it might be a safe call to replace the circular coil thats inside the dizzy, also check your timing

after some investigation i found the #3 spark plug was oily, according to my shop manual this indicates either bad rings, or a leaking valve seal.
