Okay so the check engine lite will go on then go off n then start to sputter n want to die i wont hold the idle after a while tho it will hold the idle when i hold it up from dying then itll hold after a lil while. I replaced the intake filter head the coolant spewing out before got into the filter n i thought that was it but it seems its not. The engine is good now i fixed everything just this sputtering is the worse problem rite now. Do i need to clean the intake control box? Or change it....there a car in the junkyard i can.get it from but id rather.not spend money if it jus.needs to be cleaned i got to pay my car insurance in two weeks n its a lot

If ne one.can help me that would be greatly appriciated

Need to find out which code you have. Jump ten and ground and it should flash, then you count flashes and find out which code you have.

Unless the light stays on it's probably a soft code and they're not stored. stumbling like that could be the EGR as well. Try Seafoaming your engine, if it improves it may well be your EGR acting up. My experience is that O2 sensors have minimal effect on your engine performance,,sort of. Mine were broken off and I didn't know, car ran fine. Of course your gas mileage will be worse for sure.

Start with simple things first, spark plugs, cap/rotor, wires.

for spelling i type too fast. as long as my point got across.....

as for the mazda....i got no check engine light

i replaced the plugs the wires r new the cap and rotor are new

if it was the 02 sensor i was assume there would be a check engine light

That's the EGR Valve. Fuel doesn't go into it. EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation. It uses vacuum to recirculate some exhaust gases back into the intake air stream for improved combustion. That's the basic function. 53 doesn't sound too bad for it, but you should check it's function before blowing the dough, unless you just have dough to blow...
It's not by the gas pedal, it's on the backside of your intake manifold.
troubleshooting EGR may be in FAQs, and should be in the Online Manual. You can reach around your intake and push in on the diaphragm and see how it feels. With engine running at idle, pushing in the diaphragm should stall it out. If it doesn't, then there's a problem. If it won't push in at all, carbon build-up may have it stuck. But, check FAQs and manual before you go too far.
O2 will throw a code and turn on the check engine light, but it may just flash on here-n-there, not stay on all the time. and it won't always make your car run like crap...

You said you were getting a check engine light. Quote; the check engine lite will go on then go off n then start to sputter n want to die".unquote.

Now your saying you don't get a light? It's either one or the other.

here im posting a video just listen ill make another one and let me explain a little more.....

when the car dies it will have a hard time starting ill have to hold the gas all the way down then once i get it started i need to keep pushing down letting go pushing down letting go real fast to rev it up because if i dont keep doing that fast enough and hold it will just go unresponsive and die.....

once i get it started the chugging sputters blah it sputters and gives off smoke then once i get into 2nd gear it usually goes away sometimes when i shift sometimes after a few seconds in 2nd gear. and i realized that after i have two cars maybe i was thinking about something else because after i said that about the EGR i looked at my egr in the mx3 but i need to check the egr vaccume hoses maybe thats what it is...i got a fuel pressure regulator that didnt fit my car so i took mines out and put it back in i dont think its the fuel pressure regulator and i aint about to spend 70 bucks. tho is the map or boost sensor was bad in any way i would get a check engine light right?

i got an odb2 tester but i see under the hood on the right against the firewall there is a spot for diagnostic but im assuming thats odb1 huh? i got a 93 if thats true that sucks i need to find an odb1 tester....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqY44pi ... ata_player

i realize its not the greatest of videos for an example. im not sure if my exhaust was still bad or not but its all fixed now if i make another video when it does it itll prob be better but now im thinking its the vacuum hose i need to look at that
