So just curious what/if any additives you all use on your motors and what kind of results you see. I use to use lucas religously however we carry a BG product at work that I can pick up for next to/well nothing really and I plan on using it for a bit. Any one have any experience with adding BG MOA to their motors?

I used lucasoil in my four banger, it helped quiet down the HLA's... other than that, I like to use seafoam from time to time between oil changes.

ive read some bad things about lucas oil... my last oil change i put in some kleen flo oil treatment and it completely silenced my noisy lifters for a while. i think im going to try kleen flo valve and lifter additive next time if i can find it

Synthetic oil that's it unless your looking to flush your system. Lucas can cause foaming and that's not good.

Added Lucas to stop burning oil in the old 626, worked great.
Now, I just add oil to my gas

I've used some Rislone rear main oil stop leak on our 96 Lexus ES300. It didn't stop leak, had mechanic change it out

I put this in CONSTANTLY at least every other fill up in my kl mx3. I run cheap gas though. I put it in all my cars actually.
As far as oil additives I tried CD2 in a 3000gt I sold earlier this year. It really quiet'd up the noisy lifters. I have tried the STP blue bottle iin my gf's sohc vtec civic before we sold it. It is suposed to help you stop burning oil, didn't work at all.

I guess the lesson learned is snake oil is snake oil, no matter what brand they put on the bottle..

I have used motor honey in the past and works decent if you have a little smoky engine, but I would not recommend Rislone. I used it in my 4 month old B6ZE motor I got from Japan and within 1 day from adding it into the oil I blew out my rings.. Back in the day I used Slick50 but you can not really find it anymore.
Now days I just change my oil frequently and put in fuel additives.
