rim cleanup

Post by Haley »

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes,
I have Enkei rims on my mx3. They are black, but they look kinda blah....no shine....just plain.
Is there any suggestions on what to use to spruce them up a bit other than painting them? I believe they're powdercoated so dont want to paint ontop of that. Also dont want to use anything that might damage the powder coating.

I use pretty much any wheel cleaner on mine(stock Enkei 15"s), and I coat them with another product that goes on clear. I don't have it on hand at the moment, but it keeps brake dust from sticking to them and keeps them nice and shiny between washes.

Check out a few brands, just make sure whatever you use won't harm the PC.(It probably won't, but you can never be too careful)

any pics of issue? I also know that road salt can effect the color. discolor, fade, loss of clear coat.

Right off the bat buy a Mothers Power ball. I have one and find it invaluable when cleaning wheels. Makes a 2 hr job a 20 minute job. I use the small not large ball. Cheers.
