flow tested injectors

I recently had some red top injectors from a nissan 300zx flow tested at a local shop and the test results for the injectors was in ml's over a 30 time period. for example, one injector was 110 ml's/30 sec. does anyone know the calculations i would use to convert that to cc's?

1 milliliters = 1 cc :D :D

lol, yeah, i get that, but are the cc's of an injector ussually measured over 1 min?

i moddified these injectors and was expecting to be in the 550 cc range.

110cc/30s equals how many cc/60s?

Did you pass grade school math?

Usually they are tested at 43psi to find the static flow. And those results come in cc/minute.

From this, your injectors are at 220cc/min. Unless your guy used a different psi to test them at..

OEM N/A 300xz injectors are rated at 270cc, and the TT version are rated for 370cc.

I'm still confused about it.

Is it just a related rate, or is there something more fancy with PSI?

Manufacturers rate fuel injectors by the maximum amount of fuel that they can flow in a given amount of time at a given pressure. This measurement is known as Static Flow Rate and is normally taken at 100% duty cycle and a fuel pressure of 43.5 PSI.

Example: At 100% duty cycle a 55 pound (lb) injector at 43.5 PSI of fuel pressure will flow 55 pounds per hour.

Injector Flow Rates are expressed in pounds per hour (lb/hr) or cubic centimeter per minute (cc/min). Given the same pressure 1 lb/hr = 10.5 cc/min.

To convert lb/ hr to cc/min, multiply by 10.5
Sometimes injector flow rates are expressed in milliliter per minute (ml/min)
1 ml = 1 cc

Example: a 220 cc injector = 220 ml injector

Ok, so I spoke with the tech that tested my injectors and he said when they tested them, they hooked them up to a series of pulses for 30 secs rather than full flow. That's why the results were not what I was looking for. Btw, I was really wondering what 110 x 2 was, I couldn't find enough people to count that many fingers and toes. Thanks with the math help :wink:

What year and engine type Nissan 300ZX did they come from. Once that's determined it's easy to find out exactly what size injector they are.
