Over-the-counter fuel injector cleaners, additives, etc.

Sure this question has been discussed to death. Just wondering if the containers of fuel injector cleaners you always see available at auto parts stores are actually worth it. Or if there are any particular ones that stand out.

I was just tempted to buy some Gumout after hearing some people discussing it in line in front of me. I passed on it, though.

Quite a while back, I used to dump these in my fuel tank every so often. I don't remember ever noticing any improvement, and forgot about 'em. Just curious what general opinion is on them, as I've heard they're all the way from "worthless" to "big improvement". Thanks.

I tried a bunch on my old car... no difference really. Other factors have a much larger impact, such as driving style.

Good quality fuel has additives to prevent injectors from forming deposit build up. I have never noticed any difference after using injector cleaner either, I just felt better as a person for using it. :D

The only one to buy is chevron. it is excellent. 12 gallon or 20 gallon they sell. all the others probably don't do too much.
