1.8 V6 Distributor

Post by keishacomputers »

Just purchased a second hand distributor for my 1991 MX3 V6 1.8
It turns out to be from a 2.5 V6...is it interchangeable?

The broken one is TOT 57071A
The replacement is TOT 57071B

Any help appreciated

If you need another... just come back. We all have a few spares... as you've found out, they can be problematic :)

Problematic is not the word...Bought one for 85 GBP only to find out 4 days later that the money not taken from my bank...phoned seller to be told it was broken so we didn't send it...never mind letting me know that it wasn't coming....
Worked to my advantage however, as I found one (the one I have) for 70 GBP...

All good fun...however I can't really complain...bought the car a year ago on ebay for only 200 GBP...
Only thing I have had to add in the year, apart from petrol, was a litre of oil a few weeks ago. Oh and 38 GBP to an auto electrician tother week to diagnose the fault

It is a lovely motor as well.
