I am one step give up the oem rear bar and buy the whiteline sway bar.
My car is 1.6 97 model
But i am asking the people who have swapped this bar.Does it really worth the money? Is the difference noticeable?
Or is just imagination..
Btw i am wondering the diameter of the oem bar.To many numbers have been said..I will measure it today.

It isnt the diameter thats making the difference. Its the fact that a Whiteline is solid not hollow so a whole lot less flex. Check moons worklog I believe he has one with a good bit of info on it :D

I'm just wondering why everyone says the OEM one is hollow? Did someone actually cut it open?

If you race it is worth it, if not get other parts first like struts and springs. If you have those then go for upper strut bars, then maybe new bushings.

I 've made the order :D
I had h&R with kyb but the ride was too hard.low profile is one of the reasons too.205/46/16.
Now i run oem springs with kyb.In the future i will go to tokico zx2 with eibach i guess or h&r.hmm I think i will try h&R first and if the ride is softer from kyb i will stay in this setup.
Otherwise i will buy eibach

Eibach springs with stock Escort ZX-2 struts is my favorite combination so far. The tokico HP struts are very stiff.

Everyone says about eibach with zx2 struts? Why is that?Cause ford had eibach?
H&r don't work as good as eibach with the zx2 struts?or better??

The stock ZX2 struts and springs are slightly stiffer than the lower trim level Escort. The Tociko HP struts are quite a bit stiffer than that and the Eibach springs are lower and stiffer than the stock springs. I found the Eibach/HP combination too stiff and the stock springs with the HP struts too soft. Putting the Eibach springs on the stock ZX2 struts is a nice combination.

from what I have been told. The whilteline sway bar is 22mm. I was also told that the 96 (my year) had a stock 22mm bar. Would the 97 not be the same?

No i don't think it's the same.
My car is 1997..I measure it.It's around 19.6 mm!!Definitely not 22mm..
I don't think the europe model is different from usa model. For RS we speak.

The difference is not much just driving around on the streets. Only cornering hard when racing do you notice the difference.
