Hello..
I was wondering is it really possible to fit an oem crossmembern(Transverse mebmer) from v6 to RS?
I've read the forums but there is no clear answer yes or no..
Has anyone done this?

The clear answer is no, no GS front crossmember on RS.

The RS subframe is the same as the GS subframe however it lacks the weld nuts needed to bolt the crossmember on. If you reaaaaaaaly wanted to you could swap in a GS subframe. The RS steering rack has different ratios but will bolt up to the GS subframe as well. I imagine you could also just leave the GS rack on the subframe and bolt the whole thing in there and use it as is...but the length of the inner and outer tie rods may be different.

So this article must be removed.

swappable parts from a v6

Transverse Member:

This stamp steel crossmember basically ties the bottom end of the front suspension together. Again Neuspeed and Lightspeed sell a lower front strut bar kit to the Honda owners. (big bucks for this to - no surprise here) the Factory crossmember may not look as cool as a Neuspeed or Lightspeed kit but serves the same function and is a whole lot cheaper. The holes are pre-drilled and tapped on the MX-3RS but Protg and Escort owners may have to break out the drill and a 12mm tap.

Even so, what are you tapping? the 1/8" steel?

Yeah, BS article.

What I considered, was drilling 1/8" or less holes, setting the nut up (it fits inside), and welding through the holes to secure the nut.
