Keep in mind I have 4 MX-3 chassis', and a MX-6 chassis. One MX chassis is scrap yard bound, 3 are to be sold eventually.
This would be strictly a parts car. The 5 spokes and tires and 94 ECM/parts are the only things that appeal to me, oh, and the black interior.
So, what, $200? $500 maybe?

Don't think in terms of what you think he'd take or what's "fair". Decide what it's worth to you and offer him that. If he doesn't accept walk away. If all you want is a few things then decide what you'd pay for those few things and offer him that. That way you don't overpay and it's entirely up to him if he is willing to accept.

He told me "I'm looking to get around $600 for it, that's including the set of tires." and, if the tires are in decent shape, the tires and 5 spoke wheels pay for themselves right there, never mind the unique 94 ECM and distributor, which both work, because the car runs and drives. Plus the automatic is worth a few hundred...
Its a rusty biatch so I wouldn't mind just parking it behind the garage in the grass and soon to be 4' of snow.
On the other hand, it looks like I'll be getting my black car on the road saftied within 2 weeks, and I could sell that car for around 2-2.5 (around here they are pricey, check out Winnipeg Kijiji, prices range from 2000-8k for saftied ones)
Hmmmmmmmmmmm

IMO offer him $450 after some moans and groans as you look at the car. Pause at every imperfection and check the underside. If the back rail mounts are rusted tell him it's not safetiable with out major welding so your just looking at it for parts. You wouldn't be interested in selling the auto antenna off the MX6 would you.

You could buy one in better shape from the MPI auction for about $200

He already knows its not saftiable, and the power antenna is sitting in the back of the MX-6, already detached. Would you like me to box it up for you?

It costs me $120 to ship it to the states, I don't want to think about shipping to the UK.

Considering the tires are in good shape, I would say go ahead and buy it. Of course, if he's saying he would like to get 600, that probably means you can talk him down to at least 500. I would offer 400 and let the haggling begin.
