SOooo...I was just curious, because I've never had problems with it until now.
But I need to change out the ceiling upholestry and I'm wondering if it just pops off and on? Or am I going to have to take it off then super glue the new one on? hahaha

It's called headliner. Plastic holds it up, you have to remove all the plastic trim to get it out.

Its actually a chore, and if you fold it by accident it will look like s---.

remove the A pillars.

remove the weatherstripping around the tops of the doors. open teh hatch and remove the weatherstripping that holds it up there. if you have a sunroof, remove the fabric strip around it. remove the domelight.

pull it down gently from teh hatch and you'll see some of the clips. Pop them out without ripping them off the headliner, and without folding the headliner.

I hate headliners.

Ryan and Mitmaks are right -- there's a lot to remove just to get the headliner out, and then once you get it out what you do to fix yours depends a lot on how bad it already deteriorated.

On my 94 the headliner didn't have any kind of stiff substrate -- just a thin paper layer to which adhered a double layer of foam -- one layer of the foam is cloth covered (the part you see) and the middle layer is covered in a low-density, fiberglass(?) mat.

If your foam substrate is already crumbling, as mine was, it won't do any good to just glue new fabric on. At some point, the new cloth will detach and sag.

At the end of the day I ended up stripping off all the foam off down to the paper substrate, reinforcing that with plastic resin, and buildling up the two layers of headliner material on top of that.

It was a lot of work, though it turned out pretty nice.

No matter what you end up doing, make sure you use a durable adhesive. For my project, I used 2 cans of 3M High Strength 90. The last thing you want is the sun dropping your new headliner on your head on a hot day.

Lol thanks guys it really helped knowing what I was doing haha. Never had to actually replace the headliner "aka" ceiling =P hehe
