hi, anyone know if a 5 speed swap from auto will fit o.k. ? on the auto tranny ,the starter is under the intake, right side of housing, and on 5 speed it is left of the center of the bell housing. it really shouldn't matter, right? and would i need any of the wiring from the donor car, or just swap tranny and go ? thanks for any help guys

fletch ;)

There are plenty of threads on the subject, use the search function and you'll find what you need.

Or you could browse the local ads for a mx-6 tranny for under a hundred bucks. From what everyone says they are better.

I picked mine up for 75.00 =D

Swapping over to a standard trans is a lot of work.
Some have suggested selling the auto and buying a standard MX-3 unless your MX-3 is in really nice shape.

it would be easier to swap the v6 out of the auto into the manual
