HIGH IDLE PROBLEM

High Idle Problem I have changed out the V6 in my 96, put in a 93 K8 for a 96 K8. I have read the temp sensor bits on this site for tapping out and installing one here but I am going the other way and am not confident I have both sensors hooked up. I am idling at 1500 to 1800. I tried to cheat the idle with the set screw on the throttle and it did nothing. I cannot find a vacuum leak anywhere so I am leaning towards the temp sensors... Anyone done this or got ideas? I do have a temp sensor not hooked up by the rad cap on the passenger side of the engine.. I only have the 02 sensors not plugged in. Any help or suggestions would be approceiated

If you do not adjust your idle properly, it will revert back to how it was before you changed it. Properly means entering diagnostic mode first:

1. Jump TEn and Ground in diagnostic connector
2. Start car, let reach operating temp.
3. Adjust idle set screw to desired idle speed
4. Remove jumper
5. Shut off car
6. ...
7. Profit

Hook up the 02 sensors !!

Also switch out the throttle body's, the IAC can be broken.
