Distributor issue

Tried to install another one today since i get code #03 with my other and it has a large hole in the body aswell. But the idle jumps up and down and the rpms on the gauge is moving really weird and stops randomly and eventuelly the engine dies. So, question: I've noticed bad connection on that little black wire on top of it and it need to be soldered. What does it do and does it have something to do with this maybe?

Not sure I understand the question.
A bad connection to the distributor could be causing the problem, but so could many other things.
Maybe this link to the service manual might help.

Actually i'm just curious to know what that little black wire that goes from one part of the dissy to another is doing? If it is vital for the dissy to operate or could cause this behaviour, meaning: if i should bother leave it to someone so it can be soldered together again ... otherwise I suppose that distributor is junk.

Kind of a dumb thing on my part and I was just to anxious but when I changed out my distributor, I attempted to run it with out all the lines and caps on the air intake and experienced exactly what you are saying. Even a small vacuum leak made a big difference as it just would not continue to idle..

Do you mean the little black wire that runs to the capacitor that is mounted to the distributor housing?

Yeah, its important.

Problem solved! 8)
Since I have som strange kind of external ignitor I had to disable the internal ignitor. Now it works perfect and no more misfiring and overfueling.

Someone seen this before?
