hi I own Mazda Protege but love every other model of mazda, If I could I would have them alll
I'm from Windsor, and am here to have fun

hey all im jim live in stoke on trent england !! in the british army

ive got a mx3 R reg 1.6 DOHC and i love it its green!!!! really rare round my neck of the woods hopefully with enough cash and time ill get it where it should be its standard atm!

I was in Gibraltar when 'The Jackets' left. Poor guys were restricted to barracks and didn't get a chance to tear the town up. :lol: Welcome

nice one! ive got a slight problem there is a distinct metalic sort of sound coming from my engine bay when i accel to around 3500rpm its really loud i dont no for sure but i think its coming from the throttle body or around that area ive fiddled with all the pipes and hoses crnt seem to work it out any help would be extremely greatfull i love me little car it gets me up and down the uk and does alot of miles if only that sound would politely dissapear its extremely painfull to the ears! ive recently replaced alternater all belts back box break pads new battery dissy cap plugs leads please help sos jim!!

Welcome, Jim!
There are about 5 prominent metallic sounds that come from different things (and 46 minor ones). We need to know if it changes with rpm, if it sounds like a tick, or a rock in a can... the more descriptive, the better. The best is a video, and if you can locate the area it's coming from.

found out what it was after all that!!! it was the manifold pipe you no the tin like heat cover? that was al corroded and basically on its way out so i got rid of that and the there was some on the bend aswell got rid of al that and put some decent heat wrap on it its tidyd up the engine bay cuz its blue like me ht leads air filter and hoses lol
