Is a chipped ECU for the standard V6 1.8L MX3 transferable to any other MX3 with the same standard engine? Does the ECU have to be matched to a particular vehicle?

Any ideas?

You can swap ECUs.
Depending on what it's chipped for will determine how well it will work on another car. I can't imagine chipping an ECU for a stock K8 engine, but if that's the case, it'll work the same on any stock K8, assumming they're in the same shape.

Thank-you for the reply. The chipping company said that I could expect 10% extra bhp even on a standard K8 engine.

I'm using a chipped ECU from SKN-TUNING in germany.

I hava MX3 -92.

Seems abit more aggressive, should have 10hk more.
