Moving hold button

Post by anjin1982 »

(HOPE THIS SPOT IS OK) So a few years back i put a different shifter (auto) in my mx3 and it didnt have a spot for the hold button...so i got to wires thats i have to tap to turn on hold and re-tap to turn off hold...now my 92rs doesnt have cruise control so i should be able to extend the wires up to the blanks on the left hand side of my dash and connect then to the factory c.c switch? (assuming the jy has one)

Hold had nothing to do with the cruise, it's part of the Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission:

You can do that if you wish, you can leave it alone too if you want if you never use it. It's just a push button on-off switch where you can use any on-off switch if you want.
