Ok I'm sitting here doing yearly evaluations on my workers and ensuring that the next days flying assets are serviceable and ready to fly. Haiti is foremost in the picture right now so we're pretty busy keeping up with that additional tasking. This forum is dead from what I can see, even Jesse isn't active here now and he's an insomniac. Just been told one aircraft has a hydraulic leak so we need to get that rectified as the aircraft is due to depart 09:45 today to southern parts of the USA. Some of my coworkers are getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan early march so things will be a little busier here until the returning crew gets back to work to take their place. 12-13 hour night shifts give one time to reflect and all I can reflect on is this damn winter leaving us so I can get the MX-3 on the road and go to my first meet in Kingston. Every so often we get a call to deploy our search and rescue bird so that normally gets everyone on their toes. A quick launch could be the difference between a successful or unsuccessful rescue. Anyway just thought I'd blog this site. Anyone else sitting there at work in the middle of the nite feel free to add to this post. Time for another coffee. Cheers.

well i'm not at work, or up late, but at least i'm awake when most people are asleep over there (in taiwan)
kinda sad because i miss a lot of things you guys post during the day

So I'm here again. It's 19:00hrs here (7 o'clock) so once we get past the witching hour if anyone has anything off the wall to say lets here from ya. Evo, I was in Singapore and I thoght it was great. I caught a couple of those little lizards and played with them. Neat. Public transit was excellant. I didn't know till I left but gum is illlegal in Singapore and there I was chewing my head off.

Why is it illegal to chew gum? What is the punishment?

The Government got fed up with all the gum being stuck around the city, on the public transist and such so they simply out lawed gum. Totalitarian regime

Ok who's out there? This is my last mids shift for a couple of daze. I'm going out tomorrow to start up the D-Beef special (the car I bought from jschrauwan) I start it about every week, move it foreward and back so the oil circulates and the tires don't get a flat spot. I need to pull the steering wheel to try and fix the turn signals and horn. I think the adapter isn't spaced correctly. I'd replace the whole thing but it has the Mazdaspeed emblem and we know how hard it is to find mazda speed stuff. I need to fix the coolant leak and I have new clear markers. I have to dremel out the extra light socket because my JDM front bumper only has one light marker per side so the turns and running lights are in one..
