Hi guys,
considering buying 17in wheels and putting on 205/40/17 tires on front with 215/40/17 on the rear.

Can anyone tell me pro's and con's with this set up?

Will the rear fit, handling etc.

Thanks guys
andy

I have 215/40/17 all the way around. Your car is front wheel drive, why the hell would you put the larger tires on the rear? Don't go for the rice look, pick function and performance over looks.

It depends on the offset of the rims. 205/40 and 215/40 should fit no problem, but 215/40 will be closest to stock size so your speedo will be the most accurate. I was also considering slightly larger tires on the rear, it would look better with less of a wheel gap and also (I know this is negligeable) slightly less wear on the bearings as they will be rotating less. But the problem with that is you won't be able to rotate your wheels from front to rear.

ya, no tire rotation on a directional tire sounds like a super idea.
