My car is a 92' V6 auto car and i need to replace the transmission.
The local junkyard has a 94 (build date december 93) automatic v6 Mx3 with low km's...
The junkyard said that the tranny in that car wont work as its a 94 and the 92-93 automatic v6 trannys are different.
Is the junkyard wrong? Or can i ONLY use a 92-93 auto tranny. Im hoping the one from this 94 car will work!
I thought they were all the same for any years of the mx3 v6 auto trannys.
Some help would be awesome mx3 guru's!

Re: Auto compatibility
You can only use the V6 Mx-3 trans, nothing else, but 92-98 they're all the same.

Mmmm... not too sure about that. Don't forget he's talking automatic. I was under the impression that they don't work, as far as different number of sensors and what-not. I think u should do a bit more research first.Nd4SpdSe wrote:You can only use the V6 Mx-3 trans, nothing else, but 92-98 they're all the same.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I have a feeling I might be right.

Re: Auto compatibility
Well I FINALLY got the tranny in.
Had to swap a few sensors over from the old tranny to the new tranny as they were different.
The Neutral saftey switch... and the reverse sensor i think?? both had different plugs but i was able to easily swap the sensors over and get them to work properly.!!
