My timing belt wants to wonder off. this aint right it's rubbing the block a bit. ? is there supposed to be a washer behind the crank gear, it seems like if there was it would correct this problem. But I've checked manuals with no luck on schymatics.

How many miles on the engine? What year?

sounds like one of your guide pulley's is crooked, pushing the belt toward the block. When re-installing the timing belt, the last pulley has a tendency to cross-thread in the block, which could cause it to become crooked. either that our your tensioner pulley doesn't have the washer behind it like it should. There was someone on here with the same problem a while back. He switched the tensioner and tensioner pulley and it solved his problem. I would try a new timing belt kit and tensioner then go from there. You might want to replace the water pump too.
