I read something about a lifetime warrenty on the springs, due to salt exposure failures. Worth checking.

Okay, Spring recall:

Front ONLY springs are under recall if the spring breaks BELOW 3 coils. Well, I don't know exactly if its 3, but its all the ones that mainly touch at the bottom, plus one that isn't touching.

Rears - SOL
top broken - SOL
ripped tire - not covered.

If you really want, I have brand new OEM GS springs that I just aquired through a recall. Cheapest route is J/Y, most expensive is aftermarket, and I'm in the middle :P

Well don't toss the old strut/spring. They need it for "evidence"

You're in Toronto, that definately fits into the area description "lots of road salt"

and also, if you've already paid to have it fixed, they'll reimburse you.

Hmm, that's interesting. I think one of my front springs may be on it's way out because I keep hearing clunking noises from the suspension in one corner and everything looks and feels tight.
