BP engine weight

Post by Dark_Rider2k3 »

what's the approx. weight of the BP?

I am trying to get it shipped to me but they need to know the approximate weight of the Engine + crate. I know the crate weighs about 65 pounds, but not sure how much the engine weighs.

thanks guys!

I believe the BP is around 150-175lbs but I'm pretty sure it is closer to 150.

It must be more than that. I could never lift that thing alone, yet I can pick my girlfriend off the ground and hoist her onto my shoulder. She's ~140 (5'9")

Oh but wait, I had the transmission on the engine too. So I guess 150 is reasonable.

When I went to get my BP, I unbolted my passenger side seat , pulled up next top the engine and lifted it into my car. There's no way I could lift it in and out of my car if it was 500lbs. It was kinda interesting driving home like that, for a little while my car had 8 cyls, haha.
