how can i figure out exactly what engine i have

i have a 92 mazda mx3 gs
it recently had a motor swap on it and im pretty sure it was just a newer stock motor that was installed if so then what motor do i have?
i know its a 1.8 v6 dohc
is it the k8? ive tried finding it on the block itself but cant.
help please!

The 1.8L v6 is the K8, if you look in by the injectors to the back head you should see a stamping K8 101, then that is a K8 for sure.

Search, KL Intakes or different intakes, something like that. There's pics of all the various intakes that will help identify what you have at a glance.

You can use a K8 intake on a KL, so that may not be an accurate reflection on what motor he has.

Look at the head codes. Takes approx 2 seconds.
