MX-6 Half Shaft

Of course, some of you know I bought my ZE that was already installed in a 93 mx-6. My mx-3 half shaft has the end of the axle stuck on it, so... I decided to use the mx-6 half shaft. Will the mx-6 half shaft mate to our axles?!
It fit in the mx-3 tranny, But I tried putting the axle on the half shaft and it doesn't want to seem to go in. Am I just not putting it on right? - I seen it had notches on the axle, but I didnt have enough light to see if the half shaft had notches as well.

it may be a different spline count on that end of the midshaft
unless it just dosent want to go because of the circlip, ive struggled with that before too

best to count the splines

count the splines, might do you head in though.

26 or 28 is the common spline count, Mazda seemed to have
a randon policy, on useage....go figure..

If your putting it on the passenger's side, don't. It's about 2in longer, and the spine count is more. Basically your steering will be really tight with those axles.

Ugh!... Wow, this swap is driving me damn nuts. Solo said this is the longest swap ever.
Although, I'm only workin on it maybe an hour each week, and sometimes not working on it at all in the week. Ima take off the half shaft and put the mx-3 half shaft on then the axle and its done. thank god.
