In the quest for the perfect interior, I have decided that I want to put a steering wheel in w/ cruise control and volume/media playback buttons on it like new cars. I know the RX8 steering wheel has it but I don't know if the rx8 steering wheel will fit. (Stock rx8)

Also, I have only found these on ebay, but they all have the fronts removed, I'm assuming thats where the airbags were. I don't know where to get the fronts, and since I have a 92 I don't have airbags in my car so I don't need them.

it seems like you could make the regular mx-3 shape to work (maybe with a little cutting)... just take the one from your steering wheel...

Hmm I hadn't thought of that, but don't know if it'd work. Theyre definitely different shapes.

I've been thinking this too, but I was looking at Mazda 3 steering wheels. Most on ebay are with out the air bags, which cost a lot to replace. But I figured I could make a fiberglass piece to fit where the air bag was. I would love to know if the wheel splines would match.

Yeah I dont want airbags I just want the piece for the middle! Mazda 3 wheels would be nice too.

Hey onlytrueromeo let me know if you need measurements or something for the RX8 steering wheel because I own one.

I've made a Mazda 6 steering wheel fit, so i guees a RX-8 would fit too. You have to make a small modification to the back. ( 5 min. with a grinder )

Does the Mazda 6 steering wheel have radio buttons and cruise on it? I've been looking for one of these styles of wheels for a reasonable price w/ the middle insert and they're alot harder to find than you think!

if your successful in doing the RX8 steering wheel PLEASE put up a how to do log of it. Cause i would definetely do that instead of trying to find a P5 steering wheel.

Yes it does The airbag module is pricey but just keep looking...
