So last night I tried to install a front strut bar over my klze with thermospacers... no tricks would work... it either hit the hood or the IM.... sigh

so then I had a dream last night about a strut bar someone built for us... it looked like the rare mazdaspeed one and instead of the bar coming off the middle it came off the front so it didn't hit the VRIS chamber piece... but still cleared the IM runners

it seems like there must be someone out there that can build this for us or maybe an exisiting strut bar we can modify

I'm trying to find the pics of the real mazdaspeed strut bar but can't... can someone post them here I want to see if that design would even work...

this is on my list of things to do. Now that I have the ZE installed I will be able to do it properly.

not yet but that's just a calculational thing. I will have to acquire a curved neck IM as well cuz I gots the straight one.

i see that marco has the mazdaspeed strut bar and I believe he has thermospacers so that type of design would be ideal...

What about a CF BB for a STB, front and rear? Would it be strong enough?

I think it would be difficult and expensive to make. It could definitely be done, but it would be a really pricey piece.

I got a cheapy ebay front and rear strut bar, fit over my KLZE with a curve neck, and i had phenolics.

just think wytbishop, it would mess ppl up.........

An elliptical profile forged aluminum would be really nice I think. It would be quite light and very rigid. However finding a place to forge it may be difficult. Machining is pretty expensive, though it would be a fairly simple process.

I bought a cheap EBAY set back int he fall to try to do some experimenting with. Like I said. It's on the list.
