Need help on drainning and filling my tranny

Post by Blue Demon »

I have searched on how to change the fluid on a 1994 MX-3 RS Tranny (Original Tranny). I managed to drain the tranny from the Back Up Switch. Now I am having a problem on where to fill it up. Does anyone know where to fill it up from???

I have a 95 RS and i had to remove the speedometer sensor. It should be located on the backside of the tranny just above the intermediate shaft. Remove the bolt and pry it up, it will probably be stuck in there pretty good.
Thats the only way i know of to add fluid. Good luck

OK I found it and I filled the tranny with the fluid. However, now my tranny wont shift into reverse? Did yours do this?

hmmm that is weird. Never happened to me. Actually i'm just finishing up putting my bp in, I removed the speed sensor to add fluid in it as well. So i will check and see if i can shift it into reverse once i connect my shifter.
let me know if you figure anything out in the mean time.

Did you plug the switch back in? Did you try double clutching it a bit? 94's may or may not be synchronized for reverse. Try coersion.
