So let me tell you what happened today. I was driving around and decided to play with my cluster dimmer (don't ask), I turned it down cause I always keep it on max, but the cluster didn't get any dimmer! Even when I turned it all the way down. I thought that was so strange. So I'm thinking damn, something broke. But 20 mins later when I tried again, it was working!

I never understood the point of the dimmer, the only times I've ever used them was to have something to play around with when I was bored.

I set mine nearly to off. I hate it being bright inside.

when i got my car,it had neon lights glue around the cluster,lol,,pulled them out,,with some slight damage as it appears they used super glue,,metered the dimmer switch,bad,,jumped it with resisters till it was just bright enough to see the gauges,but not so bright as to light me up

I used it quite often, especially on dark roads with no lights, those Speedhut guages are BRIGHT when they're full on. Even the X i'll turn them down under the same circumstances

I've had that happen - the switch has probably failed - I've had to replace mine... go to a junkyard or post a WTB if you feel like you need to replace it (sounds like you don't care either way if it works)

If you want I can get one on my next junkyard run and give it to you whenever.

Lol it's not a big deal. Just out of curiousity, which junk yards to you go to around our area?

There's one in Mississauga, I don't know the street but I know how to get there, then there's http://www.standardautowreckers.com/index.htm. Standard has a much bigger selection but it's further.
