Hi everyone agian.. I just was servicing my car earlier today and I decided to clean the contact points on my distributor and found a crack. Do I need to replace the whole distributor now?=




Car bucks at low acceleration once in a while so I decided to clean this for now since I cannot buy a cap and rotor at the momment now=




Can I get just a new cap and rotor later or replace the whole thing since its cracked?

get some silicon and seal it off for now if you have no monies.

Are those carbon lines in your disty cap? If so you'll need to replace it. Carbon lines cause shorts.

Does anyone know what is this cracked thing on my distributor called?

Oh my god it is only a dust cover. Doosh . I'll just get the dust cover and do a tune up instead of buying another disty.
