MX-3 Madness!

Post by Ryan »

So, thanks to thumpinmx, I went to get some MDF board :D

The thing is, they only sell it in 4x8 sheets. The pictures say the rest.

two 4x4 FOOT sheets , 11/16 thick! :o

Driving was terrible, but it worked. My legs still ache. I have never been that uncomfortable in all my life. (That says a lot)

I HAD to drive barefoot. I buckled myself into the passenger's seat buckle. I often couldn't move the wheel well because my legs were jammed against it. I couldn't reach 5th gear (arms too short) and it was iether all clutch or none. It was rediculously difficult. But I lived! It was only a 15 minute drive.

LOL why didnt you fold the back seat down? I fit 2 4x4 sheets of MDF when I did my board in there no problem!

Guess its one for the books though?

This the first box you're building? Remember to caulk the inside of every joint! When I do my boxes I use wood glue on all joints and screws every 2-3"..its time consuming but works nicely! Remember to predrill if you're going with screws!
