im in a real bind. i build houses in pa and were laid off. i blew the differencial out in my tranny and cant find a new tranny anywhere near here. i could drive a lil ways to get it. but depending on the price i might not be able to go far. thanks guys.

junkyard, I spent about 50 bucks on my last transmission

i have called everywhere within a 100 miles. lets say this. within 50 miles 1 junkyard has one mx3 and it has an auto in it. thinking bout making a trip to hazelton pa. they have over 15,000 cars but dont keep an invintory so i dont no if they have one. its like 4 hours away. but i would like to try to find something a lil closer. or if i get the right person that just wants it out of there way i will take it off their hands.

ive got a trans from a 94 pgt.The trans is in great shape, but has stripped threads on one of the starter bolts.Id take $150 for the trans.

i got told by a few different junk yards that the only tranny that will work in that car has to br from a 92 or 93 mx-3 only. is this true? because if there are others that will fit without having to modify anything then i would like to no cuz maybe then i can find something around here.

heres a list of what will fit

93-97 probe gt
92-95 mx3 gs
93-97 mx-6 ls
93-97 626 lx

basically any of those cars with a v6 in it will work.I love listening to salvage yards try and sound smart.Good luck with the search, they arent that hard to find.

mine is a 92 4 cyl. but the wireing and everything will work from those v6 models?

i found a couple probes. but i need to know with me having the 92 4 cyl. if the v-6 models you were talking about will work. sorry im acting dence but i dont wanna mess this up.

If you have a 4 cyl, then 1.8L escort trannies, 1.8L or 1.6L protege trannies, and most 323 trannies, and.... the list goes on. There must be 10+ cars that use compatable trannies.

Anything mated to a BP(1.8L), B6 SOHC(your engine) or B6 DOHC will definately for sure work.

If you have options, take one from a 94 or newer, reverse will be synchronized.
