this problem has been solved. Bad ground wire connection.. thanks for the help :)

out of curiousity I unplugged my pcv valve to see if it made a difference (I wasn't sure if it was working or not) and it was because when I unplugged it the car died. when going to turn it back on I got absolutely nothing. no dash lights, no fan on, not even a click when I turn the key. as if the battery had been completely disconnected. did something shut off on me? if so.. how do I reset it?

I have absolutely no idea, but maybe it was a fuse of some sort?

Move the terminals on your battery. Negative is proly loose

Unplugging the PCV valve will make your car die (obviously you know this now), but just plugging it back in should establish that vacuum again so it should start. But yeah, sounds like a power issue. If you aren't getting power, as everyone has mentioned, you should start with the easiest (the battery). Then check fuses, damaged wires, etc. Good luck.

Pulling the PCV may have flooded the engine, then when you tried to re-start it, it blew a master fuse....maybe?? Weird. I would pull the spark plugs, check there condition or change them. If they are gas soaked simply letting them dry, should make them good as new. As mentioned check your battery terminal condition and the fuses.
