Hey guys, im doing a project to my zx2 I really need an Mx-3 V6 intermediate shaft aka jack shaft aka midshaft, the shaft that goes into the passanger side of the trans and bolts to the block 3-14mm bolts.

I have one but the bearing is not all tht good. Unless you wnat to take it and replace the bearing, you can get them at mazda for like 30bux.

i wonder how you would replace the bearings in them > >> ? ?

same as wheel bearings..press it out and then press new one in. and there is also a oil seal on each side.

I wonder what the part number is to this bearing, I bet I can get it at my local bearing place for cheaper and they will have it in stock.

I found a midshaft, but this bearing is crap too and I killed the oil seals on it trying to get it OFF the damn axle.

does the mounting bracket come with the half shaft or is it separate

I have a pair of CV shafts, with the intermediate shaft attached to the passenger side still. If interested will ship let me know.

top still need the Mid shaft ONLY. I have the axles already.

You should have specified a price range if you didnt want someone to offer one to you at their price, and as he mentioned supply and demand is a big thing in the MX-3 world.

Junk yard is your best bet.

Other than that . IT IS a rare part.


I decided to keep mine too.. its not worth letting it go for 100 if the dealer sell em for 250. :S

Anyway, I have a midshaft, The bearing is bad in it. I decided to take it upon myself and take the bearing out. I suppose I can buy a new bearing, but mabey a seal needs replaced too ? Can someone help me find the bearing/seal replacement ?
