Thinking on buying a 93 mx-3 whats your guys opinion?

Post by stoop14 »

I live in canada, and I'm in the market for a car to get me around for a year or 2 and i've come across a 93 mazda mx-3 for 4250$ might be able to get for 3500-4000i'm just wondering if their reliable cars? or whats the scoop on them? Here are some pictures of the car. The car also comes with allot of the stock parts, the engine is new only 75k kms on it, also a new transmition when he got the engine(its a v6) also has a sports suspension and wider stabilizers.

$3000 would be a more realistic price but still alittle high, but considering what has been done to the car you would never be able to buy everything and do it yourself for 3k. Is the engine stock?

yeah i'd say have a mechanic check over it, or if you're comfortable with checking it yourself thats fine too.
but yeah with whats done to it i'd do 3500.

So he swapped a v6 into an RS? Or is he just bullshitting you? Have you checked out the motor yourself?

It would fit, but it would be a waste of time as you can swap a BP much easier with equal power to the 1.8 v6. Maybe he is mistaken and has a BP in there

Where is the car located? Maybe you could get someone local to look over it as well...

ok but if it is the engine in it that he said it is, is that a bad thing? Or does it make no difference.
