IIRC that line in front is just a power steering cooling line. I **THINK** its low pressure so you can just cut the line and replace with a smaller rubber section, and some hose clamps.

It's a line...can't you just re-route and extend it?

(I will never get rid of my power steering :P)

Find out if it is the high pressure or low pressure hose of the power steering. If it's high pressure, ditch the PS. Are you a man or a mouse? It will only be hard to turn when the car isn't moving. If it's low pressure, you can cut it and re-route. DO NOT CUT THE HIGH PRESSURE SIDE. I think theres like an excess of 1200 or more psi.

Hope this helps,

Chris

both my cars had no power steering its only "hard" when your starting off, but if you build up a nice set of man muscles (by the way Muscle beach is THATA WAY!) you have no problem turning the wheels. :welder: :freak:

thread hi jack but how do you take out the power steering? is it just a case of removing the pump, resovoir??
or is it more involved??
