Is this necesary? friends that have a KAT engine on their cars do not use it, another friend of mine running a t4 does not use it on his turbo.
I have a t3t4 real garret turbo, ot came out of a project car but the restrictor i not there, it just has the fitting and you can easily blow trough it.
Anyone on a V6 mx3 NOT running a restrictor?

Im pretty sure if you are running a ball bearing turbo you need the restrictor. Journal bearing turbos dont need em!

Depending on the amount of oil pressure produced by the engine determines whether or not a restrictor is needed.
The most common restrictor is .065 commonly found on ebay, stealthmode performance etc etc.
I would run a restrictor myself for the reason being journal bearing turbos require much less oil pressure than what your engine produces.
Also running high oil pressure through the garrett can result in blowing out of the seals causing smoking issues .
IIRC a journal bearing Garrett only requires 15-20 psi of oil pressure
