new from St. Louis and looking for help

I am a new (female) member looking for assistance. 1) I'm not a mechanic. 2) I love my MX3 and want her back on the road again. 3) I can't find a mechanic who will work on my baby.

I have had my 1993 MX3 for about 2 years. I drive her hard and because she is older, the head gasket is leaking and she overheats (water pump is out, too). I bought a new engine (currently have a 1.8, I think) hoping to go up a size.....I have a KLZE sitting in my driveway, under a tarp, just crying to go into the MX3.

Anybody from the St. Louis area? If so.....anybody know anybody who would put the engine in for me? I'm just itching to drive my baby again.

I will post on probetalk and see if anybody down there wants to do a swap. I live in St Charles during the school year so Ill be there in a month but I have no tools. Ill keep you posted.
