What are your guys opinions on aftermarket gaskets?
Should I buy stock gaskets instead?
I have SS Autochrome headers from Ebay and they came with the primary pipes, gaskets, nuts and bolts.

The gaskets are shiny and thinner than the stock gaskets. I noticed that the gaskets have a "kind of round side" and a flat side. Flat side goes up against the engine, and the "kind of round side" goes up against the header.

Anyway, I took off the the stock KLZE header by the oil filter off and put one of the new headers on along with the gasket that goes on that side (I tested both gaskets I got out. I found out which gasket goes on which side). Anyway, once I had the header bolted on aswell as the gasket, I noticed that the gasket, did not fit perfectly on. Like the top edges of the header had extra gasket showing. But the bottom side didnt. However, the bottom side of the header/gasket looked like it fit perfectly.

Really, I dont want to end up finding out that the gaskets sucked and that I have a exhaust leak. I dont want to end up changing a gasket when the engine is already in my car.
What do you guys think about these aftermarket gaskets?
Go to autozone and buy stock gaskets?

a friend of mine got his headers put in professionally,

Yah if you just get some of the copper silicone, it works awsome for header gaskets, thats what we use. even use it on the 3 bolt flange on the collector pipe to.
