AIR CON PUMP 1.8 V6

Post by helpifican »

Hi there. I have a problem with my mx3 1.8 V6 at the mo. The pulley from the air conditioning unit has become loose and waggles around while the engine is running, lol! Does anyone know a cheap way of fixing this, or if i buy a new air con pump can it be fitted from underneath the engine???

Any ideas Welcome.

PAUL.

compressor's real easy to take out from underneath, its jsut four bolts and then the AC flex lines. but if your system's still charged up, you'll need to get it discharged before you can change it. there's instructions in the shop manual for the pulley disassembly to possibly repair, but i'd bet your AC clutch is toast and you're best off visiting a junkyard..

On that note will an A/C unit from a JDM motor work?
