Burned 2x on eBay for MX-3 related items

I got burned twice (I know... once shame on you, twice... shame on me) on eBay. One transaction was for some glass headlamps and signals, the other was for an OEM strut tower brace and OEM small side skirts. I think I ended up losing $250 total. Any ideas on what I can do? Both were paid with money orders. It is over 60 days on eBay so I cannot dispute and I didn't go through paypal so no luck there. One seller has deleted his account, the other is wills95 (be careful) and is not responding to my messages. Anyone else have any similar experiences? If so, what did you do (besides cry). Thanks

well, just call the police in his area maybe....

other than that...hmm I don't know maybe someone else here can help that lives in the area of the seller?

if I lived close, you would get your money or parts

the seller that deleted his account, well, you are screwed there...

Never deal with anyone on Ebay that doesn't have a paypal account. By using a MO, that's just like sending cash. Your screwed if you don't get your item. All Ebay can do is close there account for 6 months. But by using Paypal, doesn't mean you'll get your money. If they don't have any money in there account, you won't get a dime. I use Paypal credit. It's buyer satisfaction guaranteed.

their feedback was good which was deceiving, one contacted me and said he had to track the items after he shipped as they had gotten lost and he has them now... may have a chance there

I found out that if you use Paypal and fund it with a credit card you can call your card company and say you either got the wrong thing or didn't get it at all...and they will refund the money. Paypal will actually pull it out of the seller's account. Has to be within 60 days I think. If you go longer than that a lot of times you are SOL.

sorry to hear this news man but I've warned everybody here about international buying... From my experience always use PAYPAL... it's just not even worth risking using money orders, etc...

I've bought at least 20 or more items through different international ebays and I've never had a problem but that's because I am VERY cautious... I don't care what they are selling or how good of a deal it is, unless it meets specific criteria, I'm not bidding!

Yea I learned the hard way :(
I am in the process of resolving one of the cases with the seller, so thats better than nothing. But yes I WILL be using strictly paypal from now on.
