Im currently running my ZE with a KL02 VAF and a KL07 ECU.

Now my question is am i getting close to the full potential out of my car with this setup, because ive heard from a few people this is a good way to go??

its a koolio setup u wont exactly gain much more with ze if any.. is ur vris wrokin on ur de ecu? if u dont have EVERYTHING hooked up ppl runnig them tend to have problems with number 2 opening as it always stays shut

to be honest im not sure i havent checked to see if the vris is working, it SHOULD be as it worked before i switched ECU's

so after checking i found out that no my VRIS solenoids are NOT working now im not exactly sure why that is but im attributing it to vaccum lines messed up somewhere along the way.

but thats confusing because i have no idle issue or anything so its a closed system but i just dont think im building vaccum

I am not exactly sure but with a de ecu in an mx3 the vris1 is always open and the vris2 never opens. In a mx6 or probe or anything that comes with a DE. the vris1 is open at idle and then closes when you give it gas, then they both open at certian points in the powerband. I believe the vacumn lines are routed diffeently on a DE manifold.

for $40 you should get a chip from proboinator and then see how it is. or you have 2 options. Try swapping back the k8 ecu but keep the kl02 vaf. It will lean out the fuel mixture. You won't have as much low end but top end will feel nicer. Its probably not the ideal setup but I tried it with my old ZE for a bit and it ripped. fieromx3 will agree he loves this setup.

I ran a DE ecu in my car for a bit with no vris. The fuel mixture was mint, If you used that and used msd window switches for the vris. I bet you its the best stup.

.
Do you mean that the kl02 vaf will give you a high end and a small low end?

if you plan to keep the car, buy yourself an KL ecu and VAF. If not ... your choice

yes it was directed at you lol you resurrected the post...

you are going to have a messed up idle until you get the right ecu and vaf in there - the k8 is not meant to run a ze!

k8 and kl02 vaf should run good. Are you sure the vaf you have is good??
