hey guys i was going through my engine harness before i put the motor back together. has anyone bought a new harness straight from the dealer? almost every wire is corroded and having a hell of a time fixing this and thought it would be easier to buy it new from mazda. like any thoughts on the price? its a weekend so i cant call.

Just go to another Junkyard. It would be loads cheaper then trying to buy 1 new. Might want to call corksport and see if they might have one. I paid 300 for my BPT harness.

Jim Gauthier Mazda in Winnipeg wants $1200.00. Incredible waste of money. If you've got time and are good with a soldering iron, you can fix yours up.

You might be better off getting some wire and making your own harness

I did a wire tuck on a celica a year or so back and i had to use a sewing needle for some of the pins in order to get them out. Do a wire tuck while you are at. It looks alot sweeter with seeing nothing but motor.

Every connector might be different - but if you absolutely cannot get the connector separated then you can cut the wire close to the connector - clean up as much as possible and then splice with the new harness.....
I think you can also get new connectors
