im finishing you my headgaskit job and forgot my book at work
i fond the fireing order and the timeing marks for the belt but what i need to know is can the distibutor be put on wrong or is it keyed somethings not wright . i turn it over and turns hardbut will not fire and with every thing set at tdc the rotor for the distibutor is at 5:00and from what i can tell it should be at 11:
any help woud be great i would like to drive this to work and put my rims and tires on it

I recently changed the o ring on my distributor and was not able to put the distributor back in wrong. I first tried to put it on backwards, but it would not seat all the way down. Once I flipped it, it seated all the way down. This was on my 1.6 DOHC 94 RS.
