Okay here is the situation, my cat is completely rusted out, so my car sounds like $hit. Unfortunatly with my first kid on the way I cannot afford a new one from an auto parts store because they are about 150 to 300 depending on which one and they are all weld on universal jobs. so I saw these and wanted an opinion. Where I am in Ohio there is no emmisions testing so that is not a problem...

Famous last words I know but I was on Ebay and found these what do you think...

and then this as well..

My question is will either work, is one better than the other, and does any one have any other ideas. I have a question in to the seller for the dimensions but have not gotten a response as of yet.

BTW I hvae a 93 1.6l

These links are both for universal parts.

The cat is part of a pipe about 3 feet long, with a slight curve to it. Unless you buy that section of pipe from the dealer, or perhaps a muffler shop that stocks vehicle specific exhaust pieces, some cutting, or welding, or both will need to be done.

Removing your cat will likely cause your exhaust to sound a bit raspy at 3000 rpm's, with a moderately open throttle.

If you don't know anybody who can weld, a muffler shop would probably charge you about $50 to bend and weld a pipe.

Good Luck.
