what type of oil with ticking hla's

hey, what type of oil should i be getting with ticking hla's? 5w30? i have a buddy of mine thats going to hook me up with some really good oil and i just need to know what oil would be the best.

i didn't think that anything outside of the spec'd weight's would effect the hla's operation....but possibly...
other then a brand preferance all oils now availible are ment to meet the needs of an engine 12+years old...

high rev motors usually take 10w30 or 5w30 in cold climates...
I run QuakerState Full Synthetic 5w50..I also never drive at under 3000rpm...I go for the sticky effect to prevent possible lack of oiling...
If i upped my redline to 7500 or 8000 i'd drop back to 30weight just to keep things smooth...you don't want to much fluid resistance in a splash oiled motor..
