GS, SE and so on... [question] ?

1. What do those letters like GS, SE and so on mean ?
2. How can i know, which one of them is my mx-3 ? I have a 1994 I-4 DOHC :roll:

they are just different types of models but the SE is special edition...
I have no idea about the other 2...LOL
GS - grand sport?
RS - regular sport?

Grand sport and Rally sport are the two typical meanings of GS and RS. Whether Mazda intended that for those initials.. eh.. I have no idea..

Simplest way to tell is the engine type. 4cyl = RS V6 = GS. There are a lot of other differences.. but thats the quickest tell. This is of course assuming that you have the stock engine in the car.

I think in this case, Mazda intended the RS to stand for REALLY SLOW.

gs = grand sport 1.8l v6
rs = Rally sport 1.6l i4 (though i like Really Slow)
se= Special Edition 1.8l v6

mines a 1.6 and on the uk site somebody changed my project title to jamesmx3..GS, but reading this its an rs isnt it??
